speaker test

Hi does anyone know why my OnkyoTX-SR705 reciever goes to speaker testing over and over again.How can I fix this.

Are you using the calibration microphone?

the micis not hooked up, but it tells me when test is done to remove mic.

You might try resetting the processor.

FROM THE MANUAL:

To reset the AV receiver/AV amplifier to its factory
defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the
[VCR/DVR] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button.
“Clear” will appear on the display and the AV
receiver/AV amplifier will enter Standby mode.

You might also try inserting and removing the test mic while the unit is on.

Thanks everyone, unfortunately I did all all those things before asking , guess I'll haveto bring it to the shop.
