First post, have listened to music for over 45+ years but nothing high-end, unless Pioneer SX-1050 and Altec Voice of the Theater 846b is high end, or Yamaha RX-A3000 and NHT 2.9, AC-2 and 1.5's as such. Currently want to build off an Emotiva PT-100 preamp, Acurus A250 and choice of BIC PL-200 or NHT SUB-II subwoofer. Music interest is mostly 70's to 80's rock/classic rock with some current pop mixed (thanks to my 13 year old granddaughter) mixed in. Also adding an Audio Technica AT-LP120-USB turntable to the mix, BTM-1 Bluetooth module and an old 200 disk cd changer connected via digital optical. Would like either full range and skip the subs on bookshelf and add subs. Open to comments, bashing, etc. Thanks, Steve

If you aren't seated very close to the speakers, look at the Fluance Signature Towers for something that is full-range and affordable. If you will be listening at close and also far distances, the Hsu CCB-8 is a good choice. You will want a sub with the CCB-8s. If you don't need something that gets really loud and already have a sub, look at the Revel Concerto2 m16 bookshelf speakers.
