I recently bought some used Pioneer CS-7030 along with an A/V reciver. Everything worked fine untill today.

I started to hear white noise coming out of the speakers and then after a moment also "electric"like sound coming out of the speakers. I tried to connect and dissconnect all the cables and puting the volume up to see if it's the sound of the computer plugged in th A/V or is it the A/V causing the problem.
It was apperantly the A/V, and after a couple of minutes i got one speaker who stopped working and the A/V also stoped working (I know that because i plugged both the speakers to an Hi-Fi channel and only 1 worked).

Is this the problem of a faulty A/V? Did my speaker die?
I would really like to get some answers since I don't know what I did wrong and how a speaker just stopped working along with the A/V reciver.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Do you have another receiver that you could try with those speakers? If they work with that receiver, then you know that the speaker didn't fail.

I tried looking up your receiver, but I haven't tracked it down, yet. You stated in your other thread that it's a Sony S2354, but is that the full model number?
