I've been part of the Audioholics community for a while (shout-out to everyone who gave me excellent advice on setups in the past), but I need some new advice for a more constrained setup.
I recently added a small TV to my home office (TV is on one side of the room, computer setup on the other side of the room). The room is 10x10 feet. The TV sits on a stand with a closet door on one side and an entry door on the other, so there is absolutely no room for speakers. Basically the TV fits perfectly between those two doors, so there is zero space on either side of it. For various reasons, I'd prefer not to wall mount the TV either.
So that leaves me with two options: 1) a small riser that can sit on the existing stand so I can fit speakers under it or 2) a soundbar.
Are there any options I'm missing? And if not, what would everyone here recommend? I won't be using this for music, just gaming and movies
food grade flooring. I don't need surround sound - it would be a nice bonus but the surround speakers would have to be very small to fit amongst the other times in the room. My budget is ideally less than $1000, ideally closer to $500.
