Speaker Set Up for an apartment complex

I need help with a speaker system for an apartment complex. I was going to go with the defentive technology procinimea line which has great reviews. However after talking to several people i've been told that I will get better sound if I have floorstanding for my fronts.

1. I want to enjoy the system, so I don't want to get anything too powerful I can't enjoy due to being in the upstairs unit of a complex. I will get some soundpoofing pads to help the vibraaton with the bass.

2. My room size is 13X17 The brands I like are def tech, martin logan, infintini, kef, paradiaim. My price range is around 800-1200 by the time I am all said and done with sub, center and rears. I'd have no prb buying speakers with a built in sub if I can avoid buying a seperate sub.

3. I want to buy it once and not have to replace speakers for a long time if possible. But again, I can't go insane due to my current living conditions but again i'd like to get a decent system I can take with me if I leave.

One advise I'd like to give you, stay away from powered speakers. They will not substitute a real sub.

Take a look at HTD speakers - they have a 30 day return policy. The
level 2 towers may be a good starting point. Another one may be the
Polk Tsi series speakers.

Let the music begin!
