How goes it,

Awesome website, been reading a heap of the articles. I'm awaiting the arrival of a couple things from emotiva, the xpa 2 & umc 1. I currently have a pair of Dali concept 6's & thinking of changing to a nes set of speakers with a bit more bottom end power. Went to an audio store the other week & listened to b&w 683's and focal chorus 726 speakers, they sounded ok I guess. I have about 3 to 4 thousand to spend. Any suggestions on other brand speakers in this price range???

I am just going to throw this out there... the XPA 2 will be way more power than they will need but they will blow you away for a stereo setup.

Last pair of V-2's for sale. Demo pair! Bargain!

Open baffle design, so optimally they will need to be set out into the room about 3' from the rear walls and possibly the side walls. They also have built in subwoofers, powered by a plate amp.

For store auditions, check out KEF Q900, Revel F12, both can be had new for $1280/PR (MSRP $1,800).

If you can find an owner of Philharmonic Audio, Salk, or Ascend, might check them out.

The Philharmonic 2 @ $2K/PR is the best deal out there IMO: RAAL 10D tweeter, BG Neo8 midrange, SB Acoustics woofer, 4th order Linkwitz-Riley Crossover.

So my take: Phil2 > Revel F12 > KEF Q900.
