I am looking at two different speaker systems for my computer. The first system is the Logitech Z5300e http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=9586 . The other system is the Logitech Z5500 http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=9486 . The reason I was considering the Z5500 is that they are digital and my sound card (Audigy 2 zs) has a digital out and the Z5500 also have a better SNR (not sure if it really matters though). My question is: am I really going to notice a significant difference between the two, or enough of a difference to justify spending twice the amount for the Z5500? Also, is digital really that much better than analog?

I would search the forums, to see if anyone is using those PC speakers.
Or try to give them a listen yourself. You can hear if the sound is worth the money, to suit your taste.
The other thing is, all speakers are analog. The fact that Logitech calls them
"digital" is just a marketing ploy. Good Luck, be careful out there.
