speaker placement in room

have 7.2 chanel mu ke ti. the room is 11.5 mtrs long 4 mtrs wide 2.8 mtrs high tiled floor on concrete. brick walls, room is in basement.can i leave the cntr and 2 front speakers on the floor and mount the others on the wall 3/4 of the way up angling down at the right positions and also the 2 woofers 1 in front and 1 behind on the floor.or is it best to leave them all down at around ear level when seated.what are pros and cons of the above scenarios.or does someone have another idea.thanks

Dolby Labs recommends seated ear level (or slightly above for side surrounds)

Ear level if you can but a little above for the rears pointing down is okay. I would put both subwoofers in the front, one on each side.

You want to put the mains and center on the floor? Only if they are designed to be floor standing speakers to begin with.

I've always heard that speakers should be at ear level, or slightly above ear level to avoid localization.
