Speaker placement in open floor plan

Hello,
I'm looking for advice on speaker placement in a livingroom with cathedral ceiling and open layout to the kitchen and dinning room. I've attached a pic to help illustrate what I'm working with. I'm trying to balance:
- speaker placement for quality sound (particularly the seats under the triple window).
- keeping the speakers out of the way, so people/kids don't mess/ bump into them
- aesthetics, has to be wife approved.
I'm building the house now (hence the 3d model for the pic) and will be running all the wiring in the walls, I'm just not sure this is exactly where I want everything.

The sconce lighting is being moved up a foot or so I think I want to move the LF and RF speakers up (roughly a foot) as well. The sub may end up behind the TV stand in the corner as well. May sound better there, and provide a better walkway being out of the way.

Any input, ideas, or general suggestions would be appreciated.

Any chance of going with bookshelf speakers on stands for the front stage? As far as moving speakers up, you still want the tweeters at head height from your listening position.

Stands for the front are an option also. I just thought the LF on a stand might be something to bump into/kick. Why stands over wall mount? Flexibility to easily move the speaker?
Thanks for the input.

Honestly I wouldn't have the tv in the corner like that. Is there any way you could put against the side wall to the left?

TV in the corner works actually, though it is not ideal. I've done it before. The only benefit of a corner setup is moving the first reflection from the mains, though it then limits the width of the front stage. Your couch is close to the wall and really has no true sweet spot, so that's sort of moot.

I'd mount the TV on the wall, use a remote rack for the gear in the corner and place the speakers more ideally relative to the seating area.

If it were me. I'd put the TV on the blue wall. Get the nicest pair of speakers I could for my budget and a nice sub. If I had to have surround I'd put the surround speakers on the wall with all the windows.

I'd had considered the TV flat on the wall (left wall) which definitely makes the speaker location more straightforward. However that would make the viewing angle worse for some of the seats. You'd have to turn your head way to the left. Everything is a compromise I suppose. Thanks for the imput.

Thanks for all the great feedback, the link to that post "Wayne" was very insightful. I can totally make a non corner set-up work with my space so I'm going that route. New plan pics attached.
I'll probably start running wires in a week or two, so the fast response is greatly appreciated. Any other tips/tricks etc are welcome. I'm still on the fence about using speaker stands.
