Speaker issues with samsung HT-E6750W

Hi,

This is my first post so I am hoping I can get some real help.

I have a problem with my 3 yr old Samsung HT-E6750W system. Often while watching TV/DVD/Streaming one or two of my rear speakers will just cut out (wireless speakers). There is no pattern to it cutting out, just all sound goes. The fastest way to get the sound back is to just give one of the speakers a flick and all sound comes back on. This happens anywhere from every few seconds to maybe once a week. The problem is mainly attached to the rear speakers, however we have been watching a few bluerays in the last week and the same problem has been happening to my center speakers.

My system is setup as following. TV box, region free dvd player are all connected to my TV, then to my HTS via optical cable.

In the past my TV box has been connected to my HTS and the same problems recurred.

This has been a problem for about the last 2 or so years. Any ideas?

I tried something different recently, not sure if it has helped or not as the problem occurs sporadically, but I raised the volume more on my HTS and reduced the volume on the tv box (foxtel), might be possibly better than before. Could there be an issue with the stereo cables or possibly the decibel ranges of the individual speakers?

Thank you in advance

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we see these questions like this from “newbies” at least a couple times a week. Unfortunately these so-called “home theater in a box” systems are basically throw-away systems. They seldom last more than a few years. Adding insult to injury, all the connections are usually proprietary, which precludes using any of the pieces that do work with something from another manufacturer.

Lesson learned, hopefully. Next time get a “separates” system with a standard AVR with speakers and sub from a respectable manufacturer.
