It's funny that you bring that up as it was something I was talking to the dealer about. Because in thier store they actually had the studio series only powered by an Integra 9.9 which is a little more beefy than the 3808 which is more on par with the 8.9. The gentleman said technically they are supposed to use the anthem seperate gear....but as you pointed out there is no noticable difference in the sound. In any event, unless someone had a very large room with very loud listening habits...a higher end AVR is plenty to power these speakers...

Thats exactly how I felt abut the Studios when I listened to them. With the new cabinet I would add dead sexy.

I'm glad you found the speakers you were looking for.

Congrats, you made a fine upgrade. It's fair to say and important for readers who are unaware to realize that the Polk RTi and now RTiA series is a comparative match to Paradigm's lower Monitor series. The Studio series compares to Polk's LSi line. That's is one reason for the improvement over the RTi12's. One thing I appreciate with Paradigm is their efficiency level is such a buyer doesn't automatically need to move to more powerful separates.
