Ive been combing these threads for hours for info...Its time to just ask to see which direction I need to go for my set up. My room is 18X15. Ceilings are 9'. This is the main living area so its not a dedicated theater room. Will be mostly watching TV, Movies, Sports. Some Music.

Here is what I already purchased:
(2) Speakercraft Aim8one for the rears.
Mirage OS³-CC Center Speaker
(2)OS³-Sat Bookshelf Speaker for fronts
Omni S8 Subwoofer
Pioneer Elite vsx-01txh

Is this a good setup? The installer I had come in to do a quote recommended I scrap the Mirage LR and C and use 3 more ceiling. It is appealing because my house is already wired for it and it would look really clean not having the LRC on the stand in front of the LED on the wall. What would you guys do? Stick with what I have (or make suggestions) or go with all ceiling speakers.

Thanks much guys!

Send the installer packing, or wash his mouth out. Never use ceiling speakers for the front three!

I agree.. The surrounds ae supposed to provide ambient sound which is non directional in nature most of the time but the three front speakers more often than not have tons of directional infornmation in it that simply cannot be produced very well by ceiling speakers due to their placement. Also, dialog from the center channel would be more difficult to understand coming down from the ceiling. Do not listen to your installer.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to stick with my original plan. I got a good deal on all the equipment and BB had 36 month no interest financing so I think that is the way to go. Why the hell would the installer push so hard for me to get all in ceiling?? His bid for either install was about the same cost so its not like he was charging a ton more to cut the 3 holes in the ceiling...

Maybe he truly believes that that's the correct way to set up a HT system. Either that, or his other clients are more concerned with looks than sound and he assumed you were of the same mindset.

Was he going to be supplying the ceiling speakers?

No, if I went that route I would of just exchanged my LRC for 3 more speakercrafts.
