I have inwall speakers. See sig for specifics. I was thinking of haveing them airbrushed like popular movie posters/covers. Also adding cherry trim around them so they look more like pics haning on the wall. What do you think? Posters/covers like The Wizard of Oz, Scarafce, ect.

That would be cool. As long as you don't put enough paint on the grills to block the holes that the audio passes through, you should have no issues at all. In fact, most speakers come with covers to allow for painting of the grills, and give specific instructions on how to paint the grills.

All that matters is keeping the holes open.

Inwall speakers

I thought the purpose of in-wall speakers was that they don't stand out. Most people paint them the wall color so they blend in. If you want your audio system to stand out get floorstanders w/ real wood veneer for the mains.

i have a 5yr and a 1 yr old. I wanted no clutter of speakers, that is why we went inwall.

I have seen this done for acoustic treatment panels, and even some on-wall speakers, but not for in-walls. I think it is a good idea.
