OK, stupid question.
is there a difference between good audio interconnects and a TOSlinc cable from my DVD to my receiver?

I already have a toslinc/optical cable installed, but a buddy asked what the difference is and all I had was a blank look on my face.

Thanks in advance,
Guru

Toslink will be fine. Standard audio connects (red/white) are considered to be lowest on the totem pole followed by toslink and digital coax. Which one of these is better is still up for debate. The only downside to toslink is that the connection is not the strongest. Digital coax seems to fit a little snugger. Soundwise, I doubt you could here a difference. BTW, I use a toslink.
