Speaker Connections

I was curious what the better way is to connect the speaker wire to the wall plate? Is it better to connect the wires directly to the back of the all plate then use banana clips from the wall plate to the receiver or use banana clips on both the front and back of the wall plate? I have the GLS Audio banana clips but I wasn't sure if it would be better to connect straight to the wall plate.
Thanks for the advice!

I'm assuming there are binding posts on both sides of the wall plates and you are wondering if you should use banana plugs inside the walls.

I always connected the wires straight to the binding posts in the wall and then use banana plugs on the outside.

Yes, my apologies. There are binding posts on both sides of the wall plate. My first thought was to make direct connections inside the wall and use banana plugs on the outside. However, I was curious what others on the forums thought.

Thanks for the input!!!

given my druthers...

Inside the wall I'd either use spade lugs or bare wires tightly twisted, tinned and wrapped around the posts, and then tightned with a wrench. Not killing torque but enough to assure a good, solid, tight connection for all time.

On the outside, I'd most likely use banannas if they were going to be hidden behind something. Second choice would be spade lugs.

Behind the wall plate you won't get, or rather you shouldn't get any abuse of that connection. So, you could use the banana if you have the space in the box, a spade as Mark suggested, or solder it.
