For cool looking cables you might just want to get some techflex and some cable pants and shiny banana plugs and make em yourself...I haven't seen any attractive cables around that don't cost an arm and a leg, but hopefully somebody else has.

If there is one cable I would whole-heartedly trust to my Chimera-hunting needs, this would be the cable. No other cable has the tensile strength to properly and efficiently garrote a lycanthrope, asphyxiate an Esquilax or even gag a mermaid. Last week, using my trusty AudioQuest K2 (retrofitted with lead weights, bright orange latex paint and a generous coating of crushed glass stolen from the window of an abandoned church at midnight), I managed to snuff 3 golden unicorns in swift succession!

Pros: Quickly tears through scales, fur, bone, and adamantium with ease
Coils and uncoils from hip holster (optional) quickly and quietly
For a product fabricated from 1,000 Onyx Dragon fetuses, the price is unbelievably reasonable!

Cons: Shipping from the R'lyeh took far too long
Doesn't come in 10' lengths (which would be perfect for hydra, cerberii and other multi-headed creatures)
After every use, I can feel 6 ounces of my soul slipping from my core into the ether. But this may be due to the fact that I prefer to work without gloves. YMMV.

Overall, I would recommend that any hunter buy one, nay, two, of these immediately, and experience the difference that upgrading to the K2 will make in your next quest!
adding random text at the bottom because it's telling me the message is too short??

With the help of this cable, I can now experience music the way it's meant to be heard. I find that plugging this directly into my ears helps transmit the cleanest, most pure sound. Make sure you clean your ears out though (with liquefied dark matter, of course), because quality will suffer if your ear-holes aren't sparkly clean.
I was a bit skeptical, but decided to take a chance and took out a second mortgage on my home to buy these cables. In a great wave of luck however, the cables actually built me a NEW house shortly after I lost mine to foreclosure (I lost my job after missing 2 weeks straight due to illness. Between you and I, though, I was really just spending 16 hours a day tweaking the connectors on these cables to get the best possible sound from my speakers.)

Although I love my new home, I do not love it as much as I do these cables. They are quickly becoming the favorite thing in my life, a position which used to be held by my daughter. She's old enough to take care of herself now, at least that's what I tell the Children's Services agent when they try to lecture me about food and clothing and blah blah blah.
I used to be a sad, pathetic loser who ate ramen straight from the packet and who kicked mirrors a lot. Then I was able to save up enough money by collecting cans from the garbage to buy these cables- and one other critical component. I carefully wove the fibers of this cable through the fabric of my prized 3 wolf moon shirt, taking precautions to not undo the mystic spell craft that winds through each inch of sheer magic. Donning my new mega-armor, I simply walked the streets of downtown Austin. Within seconds, I was beset by hordes of European supermodels (why were there even so many European supermodels in downtown Austin?) and had to endure the painful task of deciding in what order to satiate them.

One would assume my adventures stopped there, but no. I quickly learned that the power of my new AudioQuest K2 Wolf Awesometunic gave me dominion over all animals, great and small. I could freely commune with and command the trees themselves. I now have the power to "stop time" and right the wrongs of others. I can read Sanskrit. I can change the weather through a complex series of yoga positions. My enhanced sexual prowess was matched only by my godlike intellect. Using my newfound powers, I was able to breed an army of laser cannon equipped, 10 foot tall super-turtles to enforce my will. With this new force at my command, I will rid the Earth of poverty and end war forever, starting a new world-wide religion with me as its deity. I shall bring the planets into alignment and raise humanity to never before reached potential.

Thanks AudioQuest.

Okay, I will take the advice of making my own DIY cables.

What do you think about BJC Canare S1 Quad + Techflex + Locking Banana + Heat Shrink?

Really depends on what you think looks cool!

Check out Axiom's cables...see if they float your boat.

There's also Impact Acoustics cables from Cables To Go.

Blue Jeans' Ultra-Sonically Welded speaker cables might look cool to you, although they're either the plain white or grey outer jacket of their stock speaker wire options.

The aforementioned Emotiva speaker cables are pretty slick-looking.

I can't think of much else off the top of my head. To me, ANY terminated speaker cable is over-priced. Anything over $1/foot is unnecessarily expensive in my book :p

ADTG. Remember when TLS freaked us out and we sold off our acurus amps? That was 3-4 years ago. Your rig sure has grown! Great job and you have some fine electronics. Mine has slipped back a bit.
I searched for pictures of my cabling phase and they are all erased and in digital heaven. I remember I chose red tech flex with yellow heat shrink for my front speakers. It was quite a look.
Fyi. I also have 2-25 foot, unterminated lengths of 4s11 covered with black tech flex that I would gladly sell if you are interested. Much cheaper than new, thats for sure. PM me if you are interested.

Why not shop Audiogon for a used pair of more esoteric cables? There are a lot of nice cables that you can get for around $100 per pair.

What length are you looking for? I just completed mine for my 3.1 rig... I'll post some pics when I get back to the house. For about $30-40/ea I'd definitely put them up against anything in the $200+ range on looks... and of course they perform every bit as good as $1/ft cable does at the same time. :)

To quote Charlie Sheen (as is the trend these days): My cables win so radically in their underwear before their first cup of coffee, it’s scary.

Because speaker cables aren't where you should invest your money.
