Speaker Cable Color

Hi all,

I need some feedback on which cable color is least noticeable.
I'm in the process of purchasing some Belden 5000UP or 5100UP cable. This cable will be run outside the wall along the perimeter of the room. I'm moving out of my apartment in less than a year,so I don't want to go crazy by running cable under the carpet or in the wall.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I think the answer to that is quite simply: the nearest colour to the perimeter of your room.

One of the rooms in my house has dark blue skirting boards and medium blue walls. Running a black power cable along the skirting board (for something that's nothing to do with AV) is pretty inconspicuous. In my living room (white walls) I use white cables. It's as simple as that really...

Routing speaker wire

You can usually shove the speaker wire under the base boards without pulling up any carpet. The belden normally comes with a grey PVC jacket unless you pay extra for colors. Westlake Electronic is a good source for about $0.17 / foot.
