Hi,
I have an old JVC receiver (RX-664V, specs are below) which recommends speakers of 8-16 ohms impedance

http://books.jvcservice.com/booklist.asp?Model=RX-664VBKJ

Will it be ok to use this receiver to drive a pair of Yamaha NS555 speakers, with 6 ohm impendance (specs below).

Input Power 100 wats nominal, 200 watts music power
Frequency Response 35 Hz-35kHz
Sensitivity 88dB/2.83v/1m
Impedance 6 ohms

I'm guessing with such a minor difference in impedence, my amp will not overheat, any ideas??
Thanks,
James

As long as you are only using one set of speakers you should be fine.
