Hey. I was given a front/right/left setup from a customer which are Speakercraft 6.5LCR speakers. They are 2 sub/1 tweeter. I don't know if he knew the tweeters were blown out and that's why he upgraded and gave me these, or what. But they are lifetime warranty but only for the original purchaser. I don't work for him anymore so I can't really get them fixed. I called Speakercraft and even though they are lifetime warranty speakers, they won't sell me a new tweeter, fix them, or allow me to pay to have a new tweeter installed.

So I was curious if I can just install a new tweeter myself, or if I should just upgrade to a setup where I can take advantage of a lifetime warranty and not have to worry about this. I would probably want to keep my speaker purchase under $1,000.

The tweeter in these is connected right to a circuit board with 2 switches, one for bass and one for treble.

Thanks for any advice :)
