I have a DENON 1905, with a 10 inch VELODYNE SUB. I am in the market for some speakers that do not break the bank, but give me good sound. I am not an expert in this field, but would like to have a good sounding system to the lay person who watches movies.

With that information, any one have some suggestions? I was at my local dealer and I saw some B&W (cube style, about 5 inches tall, maybe a little more). They wanted about $200 for a pair, and I would need at least 6 for my 6.1, or should I go 7.1, since the AVR has the ability.

I will probably buy online so I can save money too.

Thank you,

Go to the nearest Best Buy and get the Athena's while you can. They are on clearance. You want the Audition Series. Get whatever is left and a center. You don't need towers, but if they have them, get them. If not, get 6 bookshelves and a center. 7.1 is the best setup to futureproof your system.
