Space requirement in front of sub?

I am ready to purchase my first sub, the SVS PB10-NSD, and have a question concerning its placement. Specifically, I want to place it in a corner, but due to space limitations, it would be facing my AV rack. The space between the front of the sub and the side of the rack would be approximately 2 feet. Would that be too close and cause problems?

You should have no issues at all. With front firing vents, or any vent for that matter, they need at least their diameter (when round) or height (when rectangular) away from a perpendicular boundary to help prevent audible effects from happening.

I had mine behind my rack when I had it and 2ft is more than enough. You will also want to give it a few inches from each nearby wall.

Mine fires directly into my couch which is 2 feet away and seems fine.

I also have room problems. I have my ultracube 10 inside a rack floor with like 7" separation side by side and 10" from the wall. It's not in a corner, It rocks! thought
