Ok, so I found a great deal on some Soundquest in-wall speaker cable. Just wanted to get some thoughts on this company. I don't know much about them. I was planning on going with Blue Jeans Cable or Impact Acoustics because I've heard great things about them (good cables for a reasonable price), but when I found a good deal on some Soundquest (cheaper then BJC and IA) i started thinking. I just wanted to get some opinions on this company. Some others I've tried to avoid, like Monster Cable (too expensive, marketing scam, etc) Please share your thoughts.

I can't speak to Soundquest or BJC, but here's my two cents on your other choice. I've been unimpressed by IA so far. I ordered a $55 cable last week based on their website photo and description, as well as a phone call to their sales staff, and the cable they sent is completely different (correct part number, just a totally different cable). That was annoying enough, but they have since utterly ignored my attempts to contact them, hence me putting in my two cents.

Soundman, I should emphasize that was my experience. I'm guessing that others here have had good experiences with them, and I suspect that Audioholics wouldn't have them as a sponsor if they thought that IA was no good. I was just throwing in my experience as something to consider. I'm also in the middle of trying to get it fixed, so it's at the forefront of my mind.

I've seen others discuss and recommend the in-wall speaker cables from places like Home Depot (I'm pretty sure that I got that right). They might be just as good, yet cheaper. Also, monoprice.com gets a lot of good reviews here.

I have looked at Monoprice. Good stuff. This deal is actually from accessories4less.com i've heard good things about them too. I think $29.99 for 100ft of in-wall 14 AWG CL-3 rated is pretty good!

30 cents a foot for that cable sounds like a fair price to me, too! Heck, for $30, you can't go too wrong, can you? :)

I have used accessories4less and everything came through as described and at a very good price for what I ordered. I cannot comment on their customer service.

Just want to give an update on my experience with Impact Acoustics. The e-mail drought was upsetting, but once I got a hold of someone, it worked out great. I just spoke with someone in customer service, and I'm very happy with the exchange. It turns out that they had already processed my request but just hadn't notified me of it. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and courteous. My impression of them has flipped 180 degrees, and I would certainly recommend them.

that's a very good price for in-wall, but if you're actually going to make a 50 foot run (or two), you might start thinking about 12 gage.

30 or 40 feet should be no problem, but 50 feet is right in the fuzzy area where alot of previous posts look to go up a step.

Speaker wire: shop for the best price by gauge appropriate for the longest run and, in-wall rating. No magic involved.
