I have an aventage a4a. My 3rd Scene is set for 2 channel audio. I need the 2nd HDMI out to work enabling my dac and screen when I stream.

“Scenes” are presets in Yamaha receivers that output signals from preset devices using preset sound modes to preset displays. The HDMI OUT #2 port needs to be selected for output in a given “Scene.”

Left out an important detail, sorry about that. The scene I am talking about is set to PURE DIRECT. Once this is enabled, is there a way I can still get an image through HDMI?

If "Pure Direct" video is set to "Auto" and not set to "OFF" it should work. Information concerning the second display would be helpful as video output will not work on certain displays.

Never noticed the option pure direct video. Will look for this one more carefully.
