I have a 46" panny in my bedroom that has horrible sound. I would like to get a decent sound bar but not break the bank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The ZVOX "soundbars" are good and come in a range of prices, and I'm happy with mine, but they aren't really "bars", they're more like platforms. If you want a wall-mounted solution, look elsewhere.

Do you need a powered bar or just a speaker.

I just grabbed a Pinnacle SF950 for our living room. This is a non-powered model. I would definitely say it is decent and much better than the really old jbl sat system that was there. It does need a sub. I really don't think it does much at all below 60hz.

It is decent build quality and a solid cabinet. It may be too small for a 46". Here is a pic on my 42" LG. The LG does have speakers on the side which makes it close to the overall size of a 46.

Retail is around 600 but search for it on your favorite auction site and you will find it well below that.

These PlasmaLCRlist I like, but they need a lot of power to really shine. The CC 4811 V/H is the only soundbar that I know of that can put out 120 db.

Well, hmm, not ever looking at sound bars before, I was hoping to attach it to the bottom of the display? As the display is mounted on a totally adjustable, in/out and sideways mount. So, no on wall install Looking to really improve on the piss poor sound quality and not spend a fortune. I am in an uncharted territory. I appreciate all of the input.

Here you go - look at Artison
Artison SB-1 SoundBar 3-channel home theater speaker at Crutchfield.com

And this

Another option to go cheaper as far as a soundbar, and possible mounting
to the TV
http://soundbarbrackets.com/

Cheap, and they say it will work with TV remote and a wireless sub.
Mount options on back - may or may not, mount to TV with Sound
Bar brackets option.

Do you have a sub out on your display. I have the Pioneer Elite (yes it's old). Even with just the speakers from the display and the sub it does sound decent.

I guess what I have left out here is that I am not using any kind of a receiver or amp as it is not needed in the bedroom. Just a much better quality sound. So, Maybe I need a powered sound bar as I don't need any xtra equipment in the bedroom. Thanks!

Anybody have experience with the ZVOX line of powered sound bars? I have read many reviews on the 580 and it seems that this is a great product?
