Hi all,
I visited my local speaker shop (London Drugs Canada) and the electronics specialist said that in comparing a standard 12 AWG wire, from your local hardware store, and a 16 AWG Monster XP wire, the Monster would have better conductance, and therefore, superior sound because of no oxygen and purer copper, despite it being thinner. Is this true? He did say that the copper in standard clear jacket cable will tend to oxidize over time, this we know. Who's to say it doesn't happen in other clear or non-clear jacketed wires?
What the heck is a "magnetic flux tube" advertised in the Monster cable? I'm assuming it's that smallish tube within the strands of copper. What does it do?
Regards,
Andrew
