It's been almost two years since I posted my apartment "Man Room" here, so I thought I'd show my upgraded setup (in the basement of our house)!

As it is, the whole setup is in the corner of a large finished basement that opens up to the whole house. GIK Acoustics panels on the walls and black-out curtains on the windows. Here's the view from behind the couch:

A slightly closer view:

A close-up of the rack and subs:

A look to the left, complete with mini-fridge, game collection, and Rock Band instruments:

... and a look to the right, with DVD collection, space-heater, and trumpet lamp!

Hoping for more upgrades in the near future! Thanks for taking a look!

Looks awesome :) Did you try multiple subwoofer positions before deciding on stacking, or did you just stack from the very beginning?

The goal with the second VTF-3 was to get more output; with the third (I hope to buy next year), it will be to increase output a hint more and to hopefully take care of the massive 15 decibel suck-out I get at 50hz. I think it's a room mode thing, though, since I also get (increasingly smaller) suck-outs at 100hz and 200hz. Not sure a third sub can fight that null very well.

As for the projector, it didn't seem to make a whole of sense at the time; I use my system primarily for games (daily, sometimes for a couple of hours) and I didn't want to deal with replacing bulbs constantly. That, and the stagering cost of running HDMI to the projector.

Very nice; I'll be happy to post my own pictures but I have another 10 years or so!

Nice setup. BTW, cables to run HDMI to PJ aren't that expenseive. Try monoprice.

True, but I was looking at a 20 - 30 foot run, either under carpet or (worse) through wall and ceiling; the surrounds are already wired through the wall, so the rack and equipment more or less has to be where it is. I looked at wireless HDMI, but since I play games 90% of the time I couldn't risk lag.

Thanks for the advice, though!
