You really should have asked here for driver recommendations before randomly buying a driver. In fact, it's hard to justify building a custom box for this driver - which is a very low performance driver.

I agree with WmAx - thats not really much sub - its only rated to 30hz.

If you get interested in a real DIY sub I have lots of links to inexpensive supplies.

How about a 12" DIY sub for $180 all parts shipped? And you won't have to build the cabinet - it comes complete - and in cherry if you like.

Not just that, Knucklehed90, but that sub has a motor that is only sufficient for a 6" mid-range/mid-bass driver at best..... the actual 4-5mm of (semi) linear excursion this driver could provide, along with very low thermal capacity (1" voice coil on a sub?????).... this is not a sufficient driver to make a good subwoofer.

Parts Express has some decent performance driver alternatives available if budget is this much of a concern, and one can always go to ebay and wait for a mint Infinity Perfect 12.1 of 12VQ to show up for cheap - this is a first rate sound quality driver.

I hope the OP does not take this the wrong way. I am only trying to help; not insult or belittle the purchase or decision. I can see how this mistake can be made - and I hope I can save the OP further aggravation with my information.

Building a cabinet for that driver would be like building a $100,000 barn to house a $5 nag.:D

Yes I know. It overheats rapidly I was not happy with my purchase but It's worth the money. I have another boss driver that It's better then the boss CH10. I don't know what model it is, but has a 3" inch coil. It handles way more power than the CH10.
