Can I lay my sub on its side or should it be placed only in an upright position?? Where I want to put it only allows me to lay it on its side. Will this effect the subs soud?

Well, if there isn't any ports on the side, I doubt there is gonna be any problems.

Try it out, and see if you notice a difference. The sub is rear ported and located at the top of the enclosure. As long as you aren't obstructing the port, it should work fine.
