Sony TA-DM1000ES

I just purchased a well wired home with 5 amps in the walls but no brain. I need a Sony TA-DM1000es or the system is DOA (or so I am told). Anyone know where I might locate one of these anchient units or alternatively what I could do/use to control the system? TIA!

What type(s) of connections do you have to those amps? I imagine that there are wall plates of some kind - some with inputs, and some with speaker terminals (or perhaps you have built-in speakers).

Yes as Adam stated connections but what kind of amps are they? I am wondering why it has to be that controller?

You can find a Sony TA-DM1000ES on eBay here. Just about seven days left on the auction. Starting bid is $35, with shipping around $30.

Wow, thanks! I've been searching and searching, must've just been listed. The last time ebay had that lunit listed was back in 2002 Thanks! To answer your question, the amps in the walls are only (so I am told by the audio guys we had out to the house) compatible with the Sony unit. I'll climb in the crawl space tomorrow and let you know the model # of the pieces in there.

Speakers, lots of built in speakers

Also, there are built in speakers. About 40+ (it's a big house) Also 4 control pads we've found thus far. I'll count amps in walls tomorrow too.
