Does this tv upconvert any signal that it gets to 1080P? If so should I be setting my cable box and dvd player to output what ever the broadcast signal is?

I currently have my STB converting everything to 1080i. Does this mean that the tv is then converting it to 1080P? Should I skip the conversion in the box and let the tv do it?

I looked in the tv manual and coundn't find anthing about this. The tv will show what signal it is recieving but I'm not sure if it is upconverting it or not.

I used to sell the sxrd's at a BB, and from what I remember it converts everything input into it to 1080p. I'd say that you're best off letting the TV do the converting instead of the stb because that will eliminate one conversion from the chain.

I dont think the sony kds-r50xbr1 or the kds-r60xbr1 are 1080p. I think they only convert to 1080i. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong..
