SONY STR-DN2010 standby mode question

I just recently set this receiver up as part of my home theater, even though I purchased this in 2011. It works very well and does a great job with a 7.1 speaker system, but I have a question related to whether you can actually turn the receiver completely off without unplugging it or cutting the power to it. It's always on in standby mode and comes fully on when I turn on the power button. It stays warm in standby mode and is obviously using some power all the time. I'm asking if there's a way to completely turn it off until I need to use it; it seems like a waste of energy to sit there drawing power and generating heat all the time. I can't find anything in the owners manual.

Thanks.

Probably not. You can bet that if you can turn it on via a remote control, part of it is always on.

But, the downside of unplugging it is that you may loose all your setup information.
