Sony STR-DE845 Subwoofer Hookup

Hi. I bought a Bose Acoustimass 7 series subwoofer and am trying to make sure I have things set up properly. The bose subwoofer has speaker wire connections for the two mains and the center speaker. So basically the speakers pass through the sub and then on to the receiver. This does not use the "sub output" on the receiver. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Nope, you are not missing anything. The Bose speaker systems all depend on the 'bass module' (it's not really a subwoofer). Just connect the bass module to the front speaker terminals of the receiver and the satellites to the bass module.

Set the front speakers in the receiver to Large and Subwoofer to No. The receiver will then send the full range signal to the bass module which will play the bass portion and send the rest to the connected satellites.
