Sony SA-WX700 Subwoofer - needs repair

Cosmetically it is in near mint condition, but the amp is in need of repair or replacement, and there are no Sony service centers in my area. I'm taking offers if you can get it fixed. When it works, it is a great sounding sub. It's not a typical boomy Sony sub. It served me faithfully for 9 years.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and caught your post, albeit from March. I have the same SA-WX700 sub and after much searching was able to find the correct part from Encompass Parts. Part number and description is: 6-700-752-01 IC ICE250A-SW. Cost is $156. It is an exact match to the bad one. Hope this helps!

Always glad to help. See below pics of the old amp I pulled from my sub. Does yours look like this? The new and old are the same in every way... even the ICE250A MK3 description on the back is the same. The sound is identical. The SW in the part description threw me when I was searching, but I took a chance based on what I had read. There may have been different iterations of the amp for this sub during the time it was manufactured and yours may be slightly different, but this amp is the correct one for my sub at least.
