Hi everybody, I've recently bought a Sony PSLX-300USB turntable (don't hate me, I'm a beginner on a low budget) and thought of adding a dedicated headphone amp (FX Audio DAC-X6) with a pair of AKG headphones. I'm now concerned about the compatibility of those pieces. The headphones work fine when used directly on my laptop, but when I use them on the amp connected to the laptop I can only hear the sound from one side. Plus, when playing a record on my TT almost no sound comes out. I've checked that the TT is switched to line, but nothing changes. Should I consider the amp defective or is there a lack of compatibility betweer the two devices? Thanks!
