Sony KDS-R60XBR1 no longer tunes digital channels

Hi all,

I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 that used to display HD/ digital channels (91.3, 91.6 etc). I just noticed those channels are no longer tuning. Regular- non-digital- channels work fine. On our newer sets, I noticed they tune the HD channels into the 700 range. If I try to manually enter, let's say, channel 705, on the Sony, which works on another TV, it doesn't tune on the Sony.

We do not have cable boxes on any TV; cable line goes right into the TV's.

Any ideas?

You will start loosing them thanks to your cable provider:rolleyes: The providers are phasing out digital channels available thru ATSC and QAM except locals. QAM tuner is whats different on the newer sets.

I can't find my manual, but according to Google, my TV has the same/ similar spec'd tuner as our Vizio.

SONY:
Video Features
Tuner : 8 VSB, ATSC, NTSC, Clear QAM, CableCARD™ QAM
Vizio:
Tuner: Integrated ATSC/Clear QAM Tuner

Both of my Pioneers tune different than the Sharp I have, including some channels missing and different frequencies:eek: on the sharp (the quality of the tuners varies and unfortunately no real standard) . FWIW you will loose all QAM tuned channels except local HD/SD. If your with comcast you will be required to purchase a Digital Transport Adapter once they switch to all digital, regardless if you have a QAM tuner (which sucks and is how comcast will stop theft). The Adapter is small and not like a STB at all. Enjoy the channels while you can.

Yay... lucky us. ;) We have Cox where I am.

Not sure it matters, but I can't tune local HD channels either.
