That's the model they sell at Costco and Sams club. I tried it for a week and its picture is nice, but for the money ($2k @ Costco) you can probably do better. It's 2 hdmi inputs are version 1.2 instead of the newer 1.3a. There were also a few other things that are a little older in it. I called Sony and they had little info on it, other than it is sold through warehouse clubs. Also, as far as I could tell it seems to made from older(but good) parts they had laying around. Mine had a nice picture overall but the there was a greenish hue to everything that I couldn't get rid of. Basically, I'm sure it's fine, something about just didn't sit right with me, maybe I'm paranoid or something.
For around the same price you can find on sale or haggle down a Samsung ln-t4671f or a newer Sony 46". Or even go with a plasma. I ended up with the Samsungs bigger 52" brother and the picture is much better than the model you're asking about (I talked them down to $2600 for it).
