Sony fronts and center--Polk surrounds, does it matter?

Setting up a simple HT in a spare room/"study" (former kid's bedroom). Got Sony SS-F5000 floor standers for front and CS-5000 center from ebay (sounds fine). But have pair of either Polk R15s or T15s that I'm thinking of using as surrounds. Will brand or timbre matter that much for surrounds/rears in this case? SS-B1000s are hard to find for a decent price, and I've heard are inferior in sound to the Polks anyhow.

PS Using old Yammy HTIB 8 inch sub for LFE

thanks

Mixing surrounds is no big deal. You'd be better off however replacing those sonys even with the lowest model polks. I've owned those before and while they sound halfway listenable there are much better budget options. Look into a pair of Dayton b452s for surrounds.

No need to timber match surrounds, go ahead and use whatever you already have
Only critical to match front speakers

Maybe with multi-ch music there's a slight advantage to having the same speakers all around, but I wouldn't worry about different surrounds than mains generally (I do it in three systems).
