Hello. I've just purchased a Sony CD recorder model number RCD-W500C . Now, I've had 2 Philips and a RCA cd recorder in the past. The sony is by far the hardest for me to figure out. I just need to know a few simple features for my recording needs. First, I have no idea how to record single tracks from many cds(you know, compiling tons of tracks from various albums to make a kick *** mix cd)? I called the SONY customer service number and the employee on the phone read line for line what the confusing instructors manual said to do. He also said that the only way to record various tracks from multiple cds is to load 5 cds into the system and program the tracks I want. I tried to explain to him that I want to use songs from more than just 5 cds. He could not comprehend this at all. The call was a total waste of time. So if you know how to record 1 song at a time(with no programming)en route to making a mix cd, PLEASE let me know how.
Okay, my only other important question is how can I record just segments of songs? Say I only like the middle of a long song...how can I record just the middle? I know I have to somehow do it by way of Analog recording, but can someone walk me through this please. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks- Mike
