Sony AVR - on screen display issues...?

Hello all... I have a Sony STR-DA4ES - it is connected to my TV via components AND a S-video cable. HOWEVER, my on screen display no longer works. The onwer's manaul only makes mention that ON-SCREEN doesn't work with componet outs. I added the S-Video in hopes it would allow the on-screen part to work but I can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions or is it not going to work with the components being used?

If you are using the two monitor out component and s-vid, then my guess would be that when you use the higher connection type, the lower one is disabled. Many receivers work this way.

I am not sure if this is the case for the 4ES. The OSD definitely worked with the S-video out but I never used the component video out at the time because I preferred to go directly to the TV. Just unplug the component out and you'll know right away.
