I have the Sony KDSR60XBR1 and the matching SUGW12 stand. I just purchased some V5 Paradigm Monitors. I have the CC-290. I wanted to place this speaker in the Sony stand,it is too big,it does not fit. Now I have no idea how I am going to mount this speaker. I am in an apartment and do not want to put any holes in the walls,I am only here until April. Does anyone have any ideas how I could mount this? Thanks

I'm about to have the same problem. It doesn't fit on the bottom shelf? Really? Isn't the bottom shelf eight inches high and aren't your speakers a little less than that? Or is the bottom support bar from the top shelf getting in the way? You could, of course, take out the top shelf.

By the way, congratulations  to Sony for designing a TV that's too wide for just about every home entertainment center out there and a TV stand that doesn't have adjustable shelves. The TV is great, but it sure does control your life from a design standpoint.

I've seen shelves at Best Buy that let you set the center on top of this tv. It's basicly shaped like a straight up number 7 with a lip to hook the front of the TV and a leg to support the back of the stand.

Wouldn’t something like that make you TV top heavy and vulnerable to tipping?

Those shelves are from Omnimount. I am currently using one with my KDS50A200 and it works great. It hasn't made my TV top heavy or prone to tipping at all. It is like $30 if I remember correctly.

Would you happen to know what the model number is of the Omnimount? Also, how heavy is your center speaker?

Thanks.

Omnimount CCH1 is the model and there is the link. My center channel is 18lbs. Which may not be the heaviest CC but it isn't light.

Sorry for the delayed answer.

Thanks. My center channel is 30 lbs., so that won't work. I have heard of them falling off the Omnipoint. I might have to do a wall mount. I really wish I had never bought that TV stand for the Sony. Big waste of money.
