Has anyone bought these bass traps and how effective are they really?

I know Gene has floor to ceiling panels in his room - I would love to know what the before/after results are with these in place.

I used to own GIK Tri-traps floor to ceiling in my two front corners many years ago and I never felt they substantially improved the bass quality in my room, but they certainly deadened my room more. Any impressions from owners?

Gene, if you're reading please offer your impressions on these panels and if you do have before/after analysis please post them for us. Thanks.

They are definitely worth it. They help in the midbass frequencies (80-200Hz) and they look great. My only complaint is you can't join them together with any sort of locking mechanism. I managed to stack them and they remain sturdy as long as nobody screws with them. I am thinking about putting some metal stakes to hold them more securely or perhaps velcro strips.

I also have these but only 3 on each side of my room as a 4th is too tall and I can second Gene’s comments that they made a substantial difference in the 80hz-200hz or so region. My towers have dual powered sub drivers and the only options integrated into the tower are a gain control from 0-10 and a low frequency EQ from -6dB to +6dB which alters the mid bass to low end curve. I use a MiniDSP for my subs but since switching to the Emo 13.2 Pre/Pro I’ve had to manually add PEQ filters from REW into the Emo as I lost the connivence of Multi EQ-X. That being said once I pulled the traps back out and installed them it really settled the peaks I was having down quite a bit, the manual PEQ filters helped but in unison with the traps it’s absolutely wonderful
