Something odd with duel subs (or not odd)?

this really is not a problem. Just want to know what is happening.
I have two powered subs daisy chained together from my AVR.

When being played, if I turn one sub off using the I/0 switch on the sub, the other gets loud and pumps more air for about 2 seconds. You can see the driver pumping quite hard for this short duration even at very low volume levels. Happens either way no matter which one is turned off.

What is happening here?

To me it sounds like the impedance and/or inductance of the preamp inputs of the amp changes as it is powering down, especially if the impedance drops that would make the volume level increase on the other sub. Are they truely daisy chained? As in, preamp from reciever to first subs inputs, and preamp output on first sub to input on second sub? If thats the case I would try using a splitter from the reciever and avoid using the preamp outputs on the subs.

Try using a Y splitter from the receiver directly to each rather than feeding one from the output of the other and see if that changes.
