Something Fishy Going on with HQV-Equipped A/V Receivers

No professional reviews!! Why???

I'm no expert with A/V technology but you don't have to be an expert to see that something strange is going on with the industry and products equipped with the new HQV chipset.

The two major releases with this chipset are the Integra DTR-8.8 and the Onkyo TX-NR905. Try to search the web for expert reviews of either of these products. VERY SCANT! Like they don't exist. Why?

Major AV critics (magazines and websites) don't seem to touch these products with a 10-foot pole. Even on this site there is NOTHING (except for user forums). WHY???????

Denon is supposedly about to release their new flagship A/V receiver, the AVR-5308. But there is almost no information about it other than the initial press release. And this unit is supposed to sport the upgraded HQV Realta chip as opposed to the HQV Reon-VX Chip; which is in the 8.8 and 905.

One might argue that this is very new technology and the critics have not gotten their hands on them yet. Yet MANY new products; some actually released after the Integra 8.8 and Onkyo 905 have been widely reviewed.

For example, Denon announced a new pre/pro setup and Audioholics immediately did a follow-up article on those units:

http://www.audioholics.com/news/trade-show-coverage/2007-cedia-expo/denon-poa-a1hdci

Quoted from the bottom of the article: "We are looking forward to putting this product through its paces to determine its true flagship status".

That seems normal, right? So does it seem that the whole home sound industry is avoiding the HQV-equipped A/V receivers like the plague? I wonder if there are some big problems with these pieces that noone wants to talk about (as in bad politics).

Last time I brought this up, it seemed to anger the staff here; as my thread was immediately moved and then closed. That would support the politics theory.

Anyone have thoughts on the subject?
