Ok,can someone help me out here?
I've been on the phone all morning with the only distributors of Wharfedales in Greece. I've decided to get some Diamond 9.5's and a 9.CM for centre (see my other thread about 2 way and 3 way speakers!).
I see on the spec sheets from the Wharfedale site that they are A/V shielded and on other internet sites which sell them saying they are Magnetically shielded.
BUT,the distributors here assure me that the 9 series are NOT shielded! I told them that I was looking at the brochure in front of me and it said what it said!!! I spoke to 3 diff. people and told them to download the brochure!!
I phoned Wharfedale, but they don't reply...is today a bank holiday for you guys in England?
Is A/V shielded the same as mag. shielded or am I going CRAZY!
Anyway,I ordered them believing that they are shielded and that the blokes here don't know diddly squat! They did say that they had not received the spec sheets from Wharfedale as they are new speakers here! :p
Am I right or is my husband going to kill me?...

you have other options

With the so many different good speakers on the market and obviously the poor customer service you've experienced I suggest you look elsewhere.

I don't own wharfedale's but based on what you've expressed, I wouldn't care how good they sound if I had to deal with B.S. like that.

If pre-sales is already a nightmare, you can bet after-sale service/support won't be much better.

Just a suggestion.

Good luck
