howdy...I've been building my house for 6 months and have wired it for everything but am trying to finalise components and would love some professional help from you guys.
I am locating all my av gear in a cabinet to the side and around 15m away from my plasma (NEC 42 inch HD), have installed every cord I can think of from one location to another (component, s video, DVI, coax, cat5). I am wanting to buy the yamaha 2500 receiver and also DVD but would like everyones opinions on STB recorders. would love to buy a hd set top box recorder but I think only toshibas HDD-J35 is available and have heard there are bugs with it....should I just opt for a SD version or go the computer hub route with its in built hd decoder? Basically I just want ease of use....if the kids chop a hand off I want to be able to pause the Simpsons with minimal fuss...ie press one button not have to change inputs, grab another remote and then record.
