Sold on a subwoofer

Less than 16 hours into subwoofer ownership (Velodyne DD18 Plus) I can't imagine having a system without one. This is a 2-channel, music-only system with full-range speakers (Revel Salon 2). Don't be as dumb and resistant to change as I was. If you haven't tried a high-quality subwoofer in your system I recommend doing it soon.

I agree with you. I use dual Rythmik subwoofers with my Salon2.

Must have active subwoofers.

I understand room boundaries and personal listening preferences, but I'd like to know what crossover point you guys are using with these (almost) truly full range towers?

I use 80 Hz.

The Velodyne software decided 65Hz was right for the low-pass filter at 18db/octave for my system and room, but I'm still experimenting. I use the Velodyne's high-pass filter at 80Hz and 6db/octave for the woofer sections of the Salon2s. The midrange-tweeter sections are driven a full-range direct feed from the preamp.
