I have a ton of Beach Boy aiff's I used dBpoweramp to create them from flac files.I have a MacBook Pro 2013, WD external HD with all music on it in place of having it on Mac Book, ifi nano DAC, B&K pre and Power amp's 225w rms. and Paradigm Studio 100v.3 biwired speakers. Musclink Transparent interface cables. Most of my aiff's sound great but the Beach Boy stuff even if I increase the gain the dynamic range is no where close to most of my other music. Is there a software that I could use. I have many to work thru.

Is there any difference if you play the flac files directly? Aiff should be either uncompressed or losslessly compressed so I wouldn't expect any difference. The dynamic range may be limited by the original recording which was probably mixed for AM radio.

There might be an expander algorithm you could add to your chain but I'm not sure what it would do and if that would be good.
