I am curious to what all software you guys use with your HTPCs. When I watch blu-rays i use powerdvd 9. Is there anything better? What diffrence does it make? I watch a lot of movies on my computer and have a 5.1 setup around it but dont know about the software..

thanks

Personally, I prefer using TotalMedia Theatre 3 on Win7 for playback of BDs and BD rips.

If set up properly, the playback software should not make a difference to the PQ and SQ.

I use PowerDVD 10, Total Media Theatre doesn't work to well with my setup.

I use PowerDVD 10 Ultra and SlySoft Virtual Clone Drive.

For BD ripping, I use DVDFab.

Since you watch a lot of movies, i can recommend Hulu Desktop. It can provide you free online videos and movies using your internet as its distribution channel. You will surely have a dose of your favorites movies in no time.
