Hey all, I recently acquired this set. it is 3 speakers, the two big loud speakers and the front tweeter.

I am wondering what would be the ideal receiver for this setup? And do they make such receivers with optical capability?

Here are the specs:
Two-way, reflex-loaded, floorstanding loudspeaker. Driver complement: one 8" cone woofer, one 1" treated textile-dome tweeter, one 0.75" soft-dome, rear-firing tweeter. Crossover frequency: 2.7kHz, 24dB/octave slope. Frequency response: 39Hz–20kHz, ±1.75dB anechoic (response specified on-axis or up to 15° off the horizontal axis). Nominal impedance: 6 ohms. Sensitivity: 91dB at 1W (2.83V) at 1m, anechoic (sensitivity higher in a normal environment). Power requirements: suitable for use with amplifiers rated from 20Wpc to 100Wpc.

Yes I read the article. I was wondering if anyone knew if one that would work that had optical capability?

Also I'm pretty much a noob in general at hooking these up, is there a tutorial around somewhere?

Thanks again.

So in that case if I do come across a decent receiver, if the wattage is too high will that be an issue or does that just mean watching the volume?

Wattage being to high does not matter at all really. Any unit turned too high can damage something so you always have to watch the volume. The rule is turn it up but if you hear distortion or anything funny turn it down as you have gone too far.

Wanted to give you all an update, refoamed the speakers, they are running amazingly. I'm quite happy with the setup. It's probably pretty basic for what these speakers are capable of but I just wanted to thank you all again.
