Snap, static, pop

I'm sure I'm not in the right section for help. Would someone point me to the right thread, please? I don't want to post incorrectly!

We're having trouble with static when changing from TV input to DVD input, that's the only time it happens. I haven't been able to find the information and thought I'd start here.

If anyone can tell me where I need to go for help, if that is available here, I'd appreciate it.

Are these analog inputs or digital inputs?
If they are analog, it may be a bad coupling capacitor allowing DC to leak through.

Hello! Analog. We thought maybe it was the cable so we replaced it, but that wasn't it. On tv it's fine, soon as we switch to dvd it starts. Thank you for your reply!
